I’m Here – The Arts & International Women’s Day
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, I want to share this experience of how the arts can change your perspective on the way you see yourself and your position in life. As women, we often struggle with seeing ourselves as worthy, as beautiful, as competent and strong. Especially when we are in situations where we constantly see otherwise.
Seeing the Broadway show ‘The Color Purple’ and hearing Cynthia Erivo sing ‘I’m Here’ caused a paradigm shift for me – one that forced me to be better equipped for the high level of experiences I am finding myself in. Women, it’s time we see ourselves as we are meant to be seen.
Check out the video and enjoy a bit of lip synching with flair!
Don’t forget – You are here and YOU are beautiful!!
